    Sterntaler (Starmoney) This painting is based on the German fairy tale “Sterntaler” (Starmoney). Sterntaler is a little orphan girl, who is so caring and kind that she donates her last piece of clothing to another poor child, that is freezing to death. As she stands naked in the cold moonlight, many stars fell upon her and were pure gold. The poor girl was repaid for her generosity. In my interpretation the heavenly money is a second chance. Without it she would have died of cold, but she grew up and understood that it´s important to take care of herself as well as of others. She comprehended that selfcare isn´t egoism…

  • The importance of community and being featured in „The Huts Magazine“ (22.06.22)

    I am so proud and I want to share my excitement with you. Today the 5th issue of the international art magazine THE HUTS arrived, and it contains a lot of wonderful art, including a feature of the exhibition “Artist, Mother, Proud and Serious” that contained my pieces “Rapunzel” and “Morgain the Raven”. And I have a full page! I am proud and grateful! Since I will tell you more about my fairy tale project soon, I want to focus on the importance of community in this newsletter. Why Community?   • Just start somewhere! (07.06.2022)

        Just start somewhere!   Sometimes fear of the unknown holds us back. We don´t know what to expect and therefore don´t start. Alice reaches out into the unknown behind the giant wall of flowers. We don´t know what she is expecting. We can only guess that she is curious, and we see that she does reach out. From my life experience not moving on when it´s time to move on is a huge source of stress. My mind is busy pushing in the new direction and at the same time it´s holding me back, telling me that there must be a good reason why I never did it…
